When I’m not cooking, or working, I’m either riding my bike or thinking about riding my bike. There are a lot of events I dream of completing. In the end I’m a big chicken and sign up for few. Recently I’ve added strength training to the workout mix.
My goal is to be a really strong and fit chicken, so when I do sign up for an event I’ll be ready to go.
When I started this website I interviewed other cyclists who inspire me. You’ll find their stories under You Pedal. At the time I was on a contractor’s sabatical (aka out of work). Now that I’m gainfully employed it’s not as easy to fit in the interviews and writing. My hope is to pick it back up some time in the future.
You’ll see some recipes on my site. While I don’t find my happy place whisking, mixing and chopping, I do love to eat. Not every recipe is nutrient rich. Sweets, muffins and breads come out of the oven more often than they should, but I keep plugging along in an effort to make every plate a little better for me.
Photography is also on my list of hobbies. The time devoted waxes and wanes, much like most of my hobbies. All of the photos on this site are mine unless otherwise noted. Please don’t steal (yada, yada), but if you’re going to, you probably aren’t looking for permission anyway.
I’m a television producer, which means I’m a great dabbler. I’m decent at a lot of things and master of none. The information on this site is gleaned from reading a lot on my own, and trial and error in the kitchen and in life. Some of it’s probably right. I’m betting some of it misses the mark, too. My blog is where I share what I know, what I’m trying and what I like.
Enjoy the site. Try the food. Share your story if it’s a good one. I posted mine here.
